About Us
Worlds of Spain, Inc. was originally created to offer educational programs for students interested in learning Spanish while immersed in Spanish culture. However, in response to the demand, we've expanded to offer shorter (10-14 day) adventure-type vacation tours for small groups of adults who want to experience the beautiful places and attractions of these amazing countries.
Meet Our Team
Jose Luis Aznar
Owner/Director
José Aznar, a native Spaniard, is the founder and Director of Worlds of Spain Inc. He has been developing tours & study abroad programs for various institutions since 2001, an educator in the U.S. since 1998, and a Senior Lecturer at Vanderbilt University in the Spanish & Portuguese Department since 2007. where he also directs the university's Maymester program in Alicante, Spain.

As the Director of Worlds of Spain, José's priority is to showcase his homeland and ensure all participants have the best experience possible.
He takes pride on every tour and wants to share with you the places he would want to share with his own family and friends.
His goal is simple: to provide exceptional memories with the hope for everyone to love Spain as much as he does.
Shawna Thue
Regional Representative and Tour Leader
Shawna, in addition to teaching Spanish, has been coordinating and traveling abroad with her students for the past 25 years.
She has been part of Worlds of Spain since 2011 - leading students, creating a safe educational environment and ensuring each trip is a unique and unforgettable experience for all.
Shawna's love of travel is contagious and she is now leading tours for the adult groups as well, hoping to give them the “magical” experience her students have had in the past.
Her energy and enthusiasm for leading tours is evidenced by her positive attitude and she's always going beyond her responsibilities. She is certainly the tour director anyone would want to have on a trip- her endless knowledge, dedication and passion will inspire you to love every minute of your adventure.
